SNCF chooses CS and Siveco Group to optimise station equipment maintenance and operation operations

CS, designer, integrator and operator of critical systems, and Siveco Group, publisher of the Coswin 8i CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) solution, have been selected by SNCF Gares & Connexions for the integration and deployment of an innovative solution aimed at optimising the maintenance and operation of equipment in stations.

SNCF Gares & Connexions, in partnership with local authorities, operates, develops and upgrades the network’s 3,000 railway stations. To optimise its performance, SNCF Gares & Connexions wanted to implement an ergonomic and mobile tool in order to:

  • Create a single, geo-localized repository of goods and equipment,
  • Facilitating access and updating of information using mobile terminals,
  • Enable a customer-supplier dialogue between maintenance and occupant operators,
  • Optimising maintenance activity: planning, allocation, management of rounds,
  • Dialog with the digital mock-up (BIM) and connected objects (IoT),
  • Measuring and documenting the results of activities,
  • Interfacing with existing or future Information System solutions.

Integrated and deployed by the CS – Siveco Group, the Coswin 8i solution is a CMMS and EAM (Asset Management) solution that optimises the management and control of maintenance as well as the performance of equipment. To carry out maintenance tasks, operators will also be equipped with Coswin Nom@d, a mobile application enabling them to carry out their tasks, whether they are in connected or disconnected mode.

Ultimately, this solution will be coupled with a BIM (Building Information Modeling) solution for the overall optimisation of workflows and will take direct responsibility for reports sent by equipment in the field in an IoT framework.

As long-standing partners, CS and Siveco Group provide a complementary and adapted response to the needs expressed by SNCF Gares & Connexions. As an integrator of critical systems, CS brings in particular its expertise in optimising maintenance in complex environments, and Siveco Group provides a solution and a service adapted to the management of these processes and their evolution.

We are delighted with the confidence SNCF has placed in us for this project, which is at the heart of our development strategy in the field of digital transformation and continuity. CS is committed to supporting its customers throughout the entire life cycle of products and systems. From digital simulation to maintenance assistance, via PLM, CS responds to new challenges by optimising the use of data from the digital mock-up, by integrating connected objects or by developing predictive maintenance models, says Laurent FIORIO, Director of development for CS’s secure systems and digital continuity offers.

We are proud and pleased with the confidence SNCF has shown in us by choosing our CMMS solution: Coswin 8i“, adds Carlo Fichera, CEO of Siveco Group. “Thanks to our continuous R&D efforts and our 30 years of experience, Coswin 8i is one of the best CMMS solutions on the international market today. Adapted to a wide range of environments, from single site to multi-site tertiary or industrial environments, Coswin 8i can be deployed in the field in a very efficient manner. Our teams are now mobilised for the success of this strategic project, which will ultimately communicate with IoT, BIM and other innovative environments. This is how at Siveco Group we prepare the future with our Clients. »
